Open role

UI/UX & Brand Designer

Full-time

Remote — India

From discovery workshops to high-fidelity UI: systems that scale across web and product, aligned to conversion and accessibility goals.

McFly World Communications Private Limited

You participate in discovery where appropriate, produce flows and UI that developers can estimate, and maintain consistency through tokens, components, and documentation.

Brand-sensitive clients rely on you to balance aesthetics with conversion, accessibility, and realistic build constraints.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate or contribute to discovery: user goals, pain points, competitor scans, and success metrics with PM and client stakeholders.
  • Produce information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes for validation before high-fidelity UI.
  • Design responsive UI in Figma (or agreed tool) with auto-layout, components, variants, and a scalable design system.
  • Define typography, colour, spacing, and iconography aligned to brand guidelines and accessibility contrast targets.
  • Annotate specs for engineering: states, edge cases, empty/error, and motion notes where relevant.
  • Partner with developers during build to resolve gaps, asset export, and responsive behaviour.
  • Prepare handoff packages: naming, layers, design tokens, and optional Storybook/design-doc alignment.
  • Iterate based on analytics, heatmaps, or user feedback when optimisation retainers include design.
  • Present work clearly to clients: rationale, alternatives considered, and trade-offs.
  • Maintain file hygiene and version history so parallel contributors do not block each other.

Requirements & qualifications

  • 3+ years professional UI/UX design with shipped web or app work in portfolio.
  • Expert-level Figma (components, variants, libraries) or equivalent modern tool.
  • Understanding of responsive grids, mobile-first patterns, and touch targets.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS constraints — designs that developers can build on budget.
  • Strong English for workshops, async comments, and written rationales.
  • Collaborative mindset with marketing, SEO, and engineering.

Nice to have

  • Brand identity and marketing collateral experience.
  • Motion design (Principle, After Effects, or Lottie).
  • Design for SEO/content-heavy sites or complex dashboards.
  • Accessibility certification or formal WCAG training.
