Cinematographer / Video Production

Full-time

Remote / hybrid — India (travel for shoots as required)

Plan and shoot high-quality video for brands — corporate films, ads, testimonials, and social content — with strong lighting, composition, and post-production coordination.

McFly World Communications Private Limited

You lead or support on-location and studio shoots for McFly and client brands. You collaborate with directors, editors, and marketing on concepts that fit budget and timeline.

Reliable file management, release forms, and delivery specs are part of every engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan shots, lighting, and camera setups from approved storyboards or shot lists.
  • Operate cinema or prosumer cameras, lenses, gimbals, and audio capture on set.
  • Direct on-set framing, movement, and continuity with talent and production assistants.
  • Manage equipment inventory, batteries, media cards, and backup recording workflows.
  • Coordinate with editors on colour profile, resolution, and proxy/delivery formats.
  • Scout locations, assess power, sound, and permit needs with project leads.
  • Capture B-roll, interviews, product shots, and social-friendly vertical formats when scoped.
  • Maintain safe on-set practices and respectful conduct with clients and talent.
  • Archive project footage with clear naming and handover notes.
  • Stay current on codecs, stabilisation, and platform-specific aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1).

Requirements & qualifications

  • 3+ years professional videography or cinematography with a strong reel.
  • Demonstrated lighting and composition skills (interviews, product, narrative).
  • Audio basics: lavaliers, shotgun mics, and sync for post.
  • Proficiency with DaVinci Resolve, Premiere, or Final Cut for assembly edits (or tight editor collaboration).
  • Own or access professional camera kit suitable for client-grade delivery.
  • Valid ID, willingness to travel domestically, and reliable communication in English.

Nice to have

  • Drone certification where legally required.
  • Motion graphics or colour grading depth.
  • Live streaming or webinar production experience.
